Smartphones: A new dimension to Bullet Proof

More and more stories have continued to emerge from around the world of victims of violence whose lives were saved by their Huawei mobile devices. The latest is the story of a very fortunate South African man, Siraaj Abrahams who is only alive today, thanks to his Huawei P8 which caught the bullet targeted at his heart.

According to the 41-year-old Abrahams, a father of five children who runs an IT and automotive business in Cape Town, he was attacked and a bullet that could have penetrated his chest got lodged in his Huawei P8 Lite instead. After being shot, he passed out without knowing his Huawei smartphone had saved his life. Sometime later, Abrahams claimed to have seen the hole left by the bullet in his jacket and his broken Huawei smartphone and realized what had happened.

As odd as the story sounds, it is not actually the first time a Huawei smartphone has blocked a bullet and saved a life. A P7 user living in the tropical forests of Guatemala had a similar story to tell. Another grateful Huawei phone user is a researcher from Milllward Brown who used the Media Pad as a shield to protect himself from a gunshot fire exchange in Garissa, Kenya that could have taken his life while he was conducting field work research.

Interesting stories have been reported where smartphones have been used for everything from cracking walnuts to catching bullets. While these stories claim quite a bit of luck, world leading smartphone manufacturer Huawei continues to take steps to refine their manufacturing and quality control processes. This ensures that devices are crafted to perfection with multiple rounds of testing and developers pay meticulous attention to the device’s design and manufacturing processes.

For instance, according to Huawei, when it comes to inspection, it has a top-notch reliability test laboratory where comprehensive tests are conducted on all its handsets and at times these measures can be extreme. Some of these tests include:
• Mechanical reliability check: A sample must withstand thousands of rounds of drum tests, 500 rounds of twist tests, a 70kg hardware stress test and 2,000 rounds of software stress tests.
• Environmental durability: The sample undergoes a 72-hour solar radiation test, 48 hours of hot and cold shift tests, 8 hours of salt spray tests, damp heat test, vibration test and other wear-resistance tests.
• Lifecycle reliability checks: The sample undergoes 800,000 touch screen taps, 200,000 key touches, 5,000 headphone plug endurance tests and 10,000 USB interface plug endurance tests.

In terms of quality management systems, Huawei’s products meet the world’s most rigid standards such as those applied in the US, Europe and Japan and all products passing through the human radiation safety laboratory testing fully comply with the US FCC certification, says Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group. “Quality is the integrity and lifeline of Huawei. It employs the ‘craftsmen’s spirit’ to measure its products and ensure zero defects.”

Thanks to its zero tolerance towards defective products and continued pursuit of innovation and quality, Huawei has earned global success and widespread acclaim. In the telecommunication equipment market, Huawei is already the world’s leading information and communication solutions provider. In the smartphone market, according to figures from market and user experience research consultancy, GFK, Huawei’s global market share has stayed in the top three, while taking the lead in most markets. More than 60% of Huawei’s revenue comes from the overseas market as its products are shipped to over 170 countries around the world.

Has Phablet Replaced Tablet?

infinix phablet
While many argue that there will always be a place for a bigger screen, a more powerful processor, and a physical keyboard…there’s no denying that people spend a tone of time on their smartphones. Will you buy another tablet or laptop? Or, can your phablet meet your technology needs?

You might think that your laptop is your pride and joy, and that your phablet could never, ever replace it, but is that really true? Let’s take a look at ways your Infinix phablet (Infinix Note 3) has already replaced your tablet as your go to Internet/email/work/everything device.

It has 128GB of storage
Infinix smartphones have internal storage spaces that are expandable to 128GB. Why bother with a tablet when you can store everything on your phone? (And if not on your phone, in the cloud?)

It has a giant screen
As laptop screens gets smaller, Infinix smartphone screens are getting bigger, the new Infinix Phablet-- Note 3 is a case in point, with a 6” screen size. With such an amazing size, tablets becomes too cumbersome and almost irrelevant.

It can connect to a Bluetooth
The lack of a physical keyboard argument is probably the best argument as to phablets can’t really replace tablets. But there are plenty of Bluetooth keyboards that work with smartphones, the Infinix phablet supports the OTG feature, this makes it easier for you to use your phone as a PC.

All the cool games are mobile
When last did you play a game on your tablet? Not too recent? Here is why, most of the best and interesting games are on your Infinix phablet, this is another good reason to ditch your tablet for a phablet.

It’s always connected
You know the drill, pull out your tablet/laptop, and immediately start searching for free Wi-Fi. Your phablet, on the other hand, is always connected to the Internet. Sure, there’s a data limit, but better to have a data limit than no Internet at all right?

It’s with you all the time
You may not think that your Infinix phablet has replaced your tablet, but when you need to fire off a quick email or check Google to prove you’re right in an argument, do you pull out your tablet or laptop?? I don’t think so.  With smartphones like Infinix Phablet, you may soon be saying goodbye to your tablet.

Trendiest Asus laptops and the history of the brand

asus
The first building block in the foundation of the Asus company was established back in 1989. The full name of the company was ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Its history is quite interesting. Its founders were the four engineers (TH Tung, Ted Hsu, Wayne Hsy, MT Liao), who initially worked under the leadership of Stan Shi - the "father" of Acer Corporation in Taiwan. The name of the company came from the Greek word "Pegasus", meaning "turbulent flow". Probably, in the future, this name has pushed Asus forward.
asus
The company appeared on the market at heavy times for the whole Taiwan industry. In those days Taiwan's manufacturers were unable to submit their products to the court of the international community. So all Asus forces were thrown to the needs of their own state.
asus
Initially, the management of the company had a goal to manufacture chipsets, but Asus has not yet gained sufficient capacity to do this, they needed the results of product testing for further mass production. All this was too complicated for a newly born company. Asus Board of Directors decided that for the first time a company has to produce only motherboards.

Naturally the company decided to develop their own "motherboard". Professional efforts were not in vain. After some time, the company was able to provide a new generation of motherboards. And it did that. The world famous company Intel took the role of quality control. They liked Asus product very much. This was the starting point of the company. After the recognition of their achievements, Asus was awarded with a contract to work with Intel and, as a result, was able to go out on the world markets.
asus
In the year 2000 they presented the first Asus laptop. It was another major step to success. At this point, Asus produces notebooks, motherboards, as well as components and cooperates with such companies as Sony, Alienware, HP, Compaq.

The beginning of the year 2008 Asus had a time of addressing organizational issues. Asus has been divided into three divisions: ASUS, Pegatron and Unihan, which occupied different niches in the IT industry.
asus
Among the best Asus models we can mention Asus Zenbook UX305, Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi (Full-HD 2015),  Asus ZenBook Pro UX501VW, Asus VivoBook E403SA, etc.

How Can You Conserve Your Phone's Battery?

conserve Android battery
The days when phones could survive for a week on a single charge are dead and gone in this era of increasing technology. Sure, the phones of yesterday could last what seems like eons between charges, but they also could do little more than make phone calls. With the growth of technology, companies like Infinix now manufacture phones that are modern marvels, pocket-size computers that allow us to play 3D games, snap photos with the touch of a finger, video chat with friends and navigate around the world without ever stopping to ask for directions.

Unfortunately, the battery duration on most smartphones has yet to catch up with the high battery consumption that has become a hallmark of most apps and features in the modern world. Whenever you hear suggestions about battery usage, you are most likely to get the following tips.

=> Turn Off Vibrations.
=> Dim the Screen.
=> Shorten Screen Timeout.
=> Switching Off When Inactive.
=> Close Unnecessary Apps.
=> Disable GPS.
=> No Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G When not in Use.

How would one enjoy the beauty of a smartphone if we have to do all the above?
Here is my guide on how to make your phone battery last longer so you can stretch and extend the time span between charges. Get an Infinix phone. Why?
